NM K-911's Adoption Process

NM K-911 is a foster based organization, meaning all of our dogs live with foster families in private homes so we schedule meetings by appointment. We do not operate a shelter facility. We do require an application be filled out prior to scheduling an appointment and applications may be requested by sending us an email at NMK911rescue@yahoo.com. Please include the name of the dog you are interested in meeting. Please be sure to fill out the application in full. Incomplete applications will not be processed. We do verify the information so please make sure its accurate. If you are using an out of state veterinarian we suggest you obtain paperwork documenting your pets vaccination history, spay/neuter and send to us with the application or we could experience some delays in approving your app. Our goal is to get your application approved ASAP!

Once an application is approved, our adoption process includes an interview, a home visit/meet and greet and a contract. Our adoption fees are $180.00 for puppies /dogs older than 12 months of age and these dogs are UTD on vaccines, spay/neutered, microchipped and heartworm tested prior to being placed up for adoption. For puppies under 12 months our adoption fee is $225.00 which will include vetting of worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, and micro-chip as they become of age. HW testing will be done for puppies over 6 months. Select dogs at $250.00. We do have special programs for Veterans so please ask about those if you have served or are currently serving our country. We also have a senior to senior discount where our adoption fee is $50.00 for pets and people who qualify.

NM K-911 is an all volunteer organization. All of the volunteers have families, work and animals they care for of their own in addition to volunteering time and homes to our rescue dogs. We may not be able to schedule same day visits/meet and greet but we will do our very best to be timely in our responses and setting up appointments and finalizing adoptions. We appreciate your patience with us as we are very dedicated to helping New Mexico's Forgotten and Death Row Dogs! Finding their FUREVER means everything to our team!
